Liposuction, contrary to what many people may think, is not a treatment for obesity. The objective of liposculpture, with an aspiration and extraction technique, is to eliminate excess fat from certain areas of the body, abdomen, thighs, hips, knees, ankles, arms, face, etc., which despite dieting, we are unable to take away. In some cases, liposuction is part of other treatments such as abdominoplasty or face lift among others.
It should also be noted as an advantage of liposuction that, if performed by a good plastic surgeon, this treatment does not leave visible scars, since very small incisions of only about 3mm in length are made for the introduction of the cannulas.
In addition, there is also another technique known as lipofilling, which consists of using the fat tissue extracted in liposculpture to inject it in other areas where it is necessary, and thus reshape-sculpt the body contour, thus achieving the objective of obtaining a more refined figure.
